We encourage you to submit work for publication by San Antonio Review. The SAR Editorial Collective especially seeks work by individuals and groups underrepresented in published digital and print media. We further encourage submissions concerning issues of local, national and global community interest from areas often overlooked.

We publish a wide variety of work. If you think your work doesn’t fit into a listed genre, email us with your suggestion(s) for how we can work together.
While we can only review and publish English-language works, we are delighted to publish foreign-language translations of works, if provided.
While we accept simultaneous submissions, please notify the editorial team if your submission is accepted for publication elsewhere.
AWARDS
Twice annually, the SAR Editorial Collective selects one prose author, one poet and one visual artist to receive monetary awards of at least $25 in recognition of their excellent work.
Submission Fees
Submission fees help sustain San Antonio Review and fund awards given to contributors.
- $1 for up to five pieces of art
- $3 for up to three poems
- $5 per prose piece
