  • Mariana Espinosa is a Latin American artist and Fine Arts graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As a San Antonio born multidisciplinary artist, her practice spans illustration, textile design, photography, and sculpture, exploring questions of identity and memory often weaving together personal narrative and collective history.
In her illustrative work, Espinosa works exclusively in black and white, using a limited palette to investigate the gray areas of life, the messy, unresolved questions that offer endless paths of exploration. Through imagery inspired by everyday objects, nature, and textiles, she transforms familiar forms into symbolic points of entry for larger questions of meaning drawing tension between the ordinary and the existential.
Espinosa has exhibited her work at New York Fashion Week and in Paris, and has been featured in publications including The Daily Front Row, Business of Fashion, The Cut, FashionUnited, WWD, Libération, MR Magazine, and JT Draper Fashion Week.
